What is in Kratom?
Kratom is similar to kava, which is also similar to both tea and coffee. The main active ingredients of kratom are the alkaloids mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. The nutritional base of kratom is in the leaves and is relatively mild. As far as calories, you might see around 7 calories per two grams of Kratom. Other nutrients and minerals include:
In a 2gram Serving:
- Sodium < than 0.1mg
- Iron – 0.5mg
- Calcium – 13.2mg
- Potassium – 18.5mg
- Carbohydrates – 1.5g
- Protein – 0.2g
- Fats – < than 0.1g
Please note that the above nutrients may change in quantity if Kratom is brewed from the leaves, rather than consumed whole or as a Kratom powder. Everybody is different!
Is Kratom Keto-Friendly?
Just like Kava, Kratom is keto-friendly in general. Once you add sugars, mixers, additives etc, this information may no longer be accurate.
