Kavasutra in Big Trouble
Deborah Brantley, a former employee of the Kavasutra chain in Florida has filed a countersuit against the worst Kava Bar to ever act like they were one, in retaliation to a claim recently submitted by the Kava Bar itself. The evidence is undeniably against the owner of Kavasutra, and when these text messages get brought in front of a judge, there is no doubt that they will not only be losing their lawsuit, but probably paying out in full to Deborah, the defendant.
This story is crazy. We dove into the entire counter-claim and there is no doubt that Kavasutra is in for a huge loss.
The former employee signed an NDA type of agreement when first getting hired by Kavasutra. Completely unaware of what was to happen over the term of her employment, and the horrible conditions she was about to endure. Kavasutra is well known for being a misogynistic, racist, ultra-heavy right-wing political nightmare of sexism, and moral bias. On top of nasty decor and horrible products, catering to the lowest of the low patrons feeding off their addictions, Kavasutra has become a thorn in the side of the real Kava community in Florida. They have been known for posting horrible things about the gay community, transgender individuals, women, teachers, politicians, and other local business owners.
Ms. Brantley quit her job after a series of abusive rhetoric through text messages and comments made by the staff, patrons, and owners not only in person but also through texts to her boyfriend that has now become evidence in a lawsuit that Kavasutra is now kicking themself in the ass about starting. Shortly after, a more popular Kava bar called Pause hired her and she immediately seemed to find the perfect place to work and call home. As soon as Kavasutra found out that she was working at the more popular establishment, they immediately acted on the NDA that they had her sign. Filing a lawsuit against her for potentially breaking the terms of this contract that they so swiftly hid among all the rest of her hiring paperwork when she first started.
Pause for a Moment to Recognize a Real Hero
Pause kava bar, wasted no time helping their employee who could not afford, let alone begin to understand the depth of this lawsuit, and have been very supportive of her situation. Immediately she presented evidence verified through text messages to herself and her boyfriend with some of the most inappropriate and downright nasty messages we have ever read. Take a read for yourself here>.
When Pause opened their second location in Lake Worth, it was down the street from the Kavasutra flagship crackhead haven. The owner found out that they were occupying a location close to them, and sent people over to the new storefront to put Kavasutra stickers ALL OVER their new location. Literally head to toe, every inch of space was vandalized covering the windows and doors. This was before the lawsuit in mentioned. The location was only brought to the area due to the high demand of the local Kava community needing a safe place to enjoy this alternative to alcohol. Kavasutra has accumulated such a bad name for itself, that the bar can be seen daily with absolutely nothing but crackheads and vagrant homeless people hanging out there, making it very uncomfortable for anyone looking for a true South Pacific vibe.
Karmasutra
According to evidence submitted from text messages from the bar owner & manager to the defendant’s boyfriend and herself, the amount of mental and sexual abuse is insurmountable and will ultimately lead to this lawsuit, proposed by Kavasutra, to be flipped upside down and bite them right in the ass. Not only is she going to get the lawsuit dropped, but most likely get a huge payout. We salute PAUSE Kava bar for their stance and assistance to this amazingly brave individual who will now see true justice being served up in more than just a shell of tainted Kava. We also highly recommend this establishment if you are in Lake Worth on the avenue.
Finally, L-dub has a REAL kava bar, with awesome staff, and patrons that don’t look like extras stumbling off the set of The Walking Dead show.
